Urology – Daytime Acute Inpatient + Light Follow-Up Clinic | Rock Island IL / Bettendorf IA | $325/hr

UnityPoint Health is seeking a locum Urologist for a structured, daytime-only acute inpatient assignment with limited follow-up clinic responsibilities. This is a recurring, predictable role designed for urologists who prefer hospital-based care without overnight or weekend call.

Coverage is block-based and repeatable throughout the year.

Schedule

• Two weeks per month (or week-on/week-off)

• Daytime hours only, approximately 8a to 4p

• No night or weekend call listed

• APP support onsite for 10-hour days

Clinical Responsibilities

Inpatient Acute Urology

• Inpatient consults

• ED, ICU, and med/surg consults

• Daily rounding

• Management of retention, stones, hematuria, Foley complications, infected stones

• Bedside procedures based on privileges including Foley placement, suprapubic catheter management, bladder irrigation, and clot evacuation

Follow-Up Clinic

• Two half-day clinics per active week

• Post-procedure follow-ups only

• No new outpatient consults

• Foley checks and removals

• Stent removals if privileged

• Imaging and lab review

Volume and Support

• Average 8 to 12 patients per day combined inpatient and clinic

• Strong APP support streamlines workflow

• Minimal travel between sites

  • Rock Island IL primary hospital

  • Bettendorf IA secondary hospital

  • Moline IL follow-up clinic

Compensation

• $325 per hour

• Travel and lodging handled separately per client guidelines

Requirements

• Board Certified Urologist

• Comfortable with acute inpatient urology

• IL or IA license preferred

• Licensing candidates considered

• Consistent block availability
