Job description
A hospital-based team in Paducah, Kentucky is seeking a Urologist to provide weekend call coverage 2–3 weekends per month to support their employed physician. The incoming provider will cover inpatient urology call, manage consults, round on hospitalized patients, and perform required procedures or surgeries.
The site employs 1 physician and 2 nurse practitioners (NPs are clinic-only and do not provide inpatient coverage). Robotic surgery is not currently performed by the employed urologist, but three robots are available, and the team can accommodate a provider with robotic skills if desired.
Locum-to-perm candidates are welcomed and encouraged!
Pay Rates 💲

On-Call: $3,000 per call shift

Job Responsibilities
Manage consults and provide inpatient rounding.
Perform required urologic procedures and surgeries.
Work independently as the only onsite urologist during assignment.
Utilize onsite labs and X-ray services.
Qualifications
Kentucky license preferred; IMLC candidates accepted.
BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
Flu vaccination required, COVID vaccination highly preferred.
Proficient in:
General Urology
Advanced Endoscopic Techniques
Ureteroscopy
Laser-certified procedures
Working Hours
Shift Times: 7 AM – 7 AM (24-hr call)
Weekend Call: Required
On-Call Duties: Required
Typical Block: Thursday or Friday AM → Monday AM
Credentialing: ~90 days; temp privileges available
Skills
Comfort practicing solo during weekends
Ability to handle urgent/emergent urologic cases
Operative proficiency in endoscopic and laser procedures
Optional robotic surgery capability
