Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient neurological evaluations, including EEG interpretation.
- Conduct procedures such as lumbar punctures, radiologic exam interpretation, brain death examinations, and evoked potentials.
- Manage and coordinate patient care during clinic hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) and provide after-hours call coverage.
- Conduct outpatient appointments during designated clinic hours (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM).
- Ensure onsite hospital coverage when outpatient clinics are not scheduled or completed.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and record-keeping.
- Maintain compliance with all medical protocols, including immunization requirements for occupational health clearance.
Required Skills:
- Valid Medical License to practice Neurology in Michigan.
- Proven expertise in neurological diagnosis and procedures.
- Proficiency in EEG interpretation and brain death examinations.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Neurophysiology or Neurology subspecialties.
- Prior experience in a hospitalist or inpatient neurology setting.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system.
- Bilingual abilities (additional languages).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neurology.
- At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience.
- Previous locum or hospital-based practice experience.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start in January 2026.
- Flexible to cover day shifts, night calls, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Must complete immunization requirements including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, COVID-19 documentation, TB testing, and TDAP within specified timeframes.
- Willingness to clock in/out via Kronos; no timesheets accommodated.
- No lodging arrangements through third-party booking sites.
- This position does not include bill rates or client-specific financial details.
