Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Urologist to provide locum coverage in Durango, CO. The site anticipates an ongoing need of approximately 3 weeks per month for coverage. Candidates must be available for the listed dates through Dec 2025 to be considered for ongoing assignments.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform general urology surgeries and procedures
• Manage clinic patients (average 6–12 per day)
• Participate in on-call coverage including nights and weekends
• Complete required EMR training and use EPIC system for all documentation
Qualifications
• Active Colorado license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of presentation)
• Active BLS and DEA (site will consider transferred DEA; must remain active for full assignment)
• Clean malpractice and background (up to 1 case allowed, max $300k)
• Ability to commit to ongoing coverage dates
• Willingness to complete EMR training modules and onsite orientation
Working Hours
• Saturday–Sunday: 24-hour call (7a–7a)
• Ongoing coverage: ~3 weeks per month
Skills
• Strong inpatient and outpatient care experience
• EMR proficiency (EPIC preferred)
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary team (MA, NP/PA, RN support staff)
• Ability to handle Trauma Level III environment
