Schedule & Coverage

• Coverage Type: 24-hour call only

• Shifts: 1–2 week blocks at a time

• Shift Hours: Monday 7:00 AM – following Monday 7:00 AM (24-hour coverage)

• Call Type: Beeper call, Level I Trauma Center coverage

• Start Date: November 24, 2025

• Contract Length: Ongoing

Work Details

• Practice Setting: Inpatient hospital only

• Support Staff: None at this time

• Department Description: Hospital-based Urology service, 24/7/365 coverage model

• Patient Volume: Varies – Level I Trauma Center; volume may align with HVMC and BRMC standards

• Patient Demographics: Adults only

• Average Cases/Procedures: Mix of consults and emergent procedures

• EMR: Epic

Procedures/Skills Required:

• Bladder cancer, erectile dysfunction, incontinence, kidney stones, overactive bladder, testicular cancer, urologic infections, stone disease

• Cystoscopy

• Prostate procedures

• Ureteroscopy

• Lithotripsy

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced endoscopic techniques

• Percutaneous nephrolithotomy

• Radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit

• Radical prostatectomy

• Nephrectomy, prostatectomy, pelvic node dissection

• Robotic surgery (partial nephrectomies/intraoperative ultrasound)

• Adrenalectomy

• Renal/bladder ultrasound with biopsy

Requirements

• Board Certification: Required (Urology); BE accepted with experience

• State License: Tennessee license required (IMLC accepted, but must hold active TN license before scheduling)

• DEA: Required (TN-registered)

• Certifications: BLS & ACLS required

• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years

• Vaccinations: Required (COVID/Flu – status TBD)
