Urologist - Locum Tenens (Local & IMLC/License in Hand)

We're looking for a Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) Urologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity, starting February1, 2025. This role is ideal for a local provider who can manage a mix of clinic and call responsibilities on weekends and during a dedicated week each year.

Please note: We require candidates to be local enough to drive in (within 3-3.5 hours) and to indicate clearly in their presentation if they have an IMLC in hand.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Coverage Type: Call + Clinic A min of one weekend a month. Friday - Monday clinic, weeknight call and 24hr weekend call coverage needed.
  • Schedule:
  • Clinic 7a-5p

    Night Call 5p-7a

    24hr Call: 7a-7a

    No Clinic on the weekends

    • For weekday clinic is 8a-4:30p but out of the clinic by 5.
    • For inpatient, provider is required to round, consult and perform necessary procedures.
    • Dedicated Week: You will also need to cover one full week per year, which you can choose.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Clinic: No Clinic on the weekends
    • Inpatient: You will be doing both inpatient and outpatient work during the week. For inpatient, you are required to round, consult, and perform necessary procedures. Inpatient rounding on weekends is likely.
    • OR/Surgery: There are no scheduled OR days; you will only handle emergencies as needed. Elective procedures are referred back to employed physicians.
    • Solo Work: You will be working solo.
  • EMR Systems: We utilize both Cerner and Epic.

Required Procedures

You will be performing procedures such as:

  • Cystoscopy
  • Vasectomy
  • Lithotripsy
  • Stents
  • Hydroceles

Requirements

  • Minimum Board Certification: Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Urology.
  • Certifications: BLS is required for in-clinic work; ACLS is not required for hospital/OR work.
  • Licensure: We will consider IMLC in hand, but you must be local to drive in (within 3-3.5 hours of the location).
