Urology Physician - Locums in Pennsylvania, Block Scheduling
Inpatient Urology assignment in Pennsylvania, near Harrisburg.
Highlights
- Consistent block schedule; 7 days on, 21+ days off
- Long-term, ongoing need with temporary privileges available
- Urology-specific APP support on weekdays
Practice Setting
- Inpatient coverage at 3 hospitals within a 10-mile radius
- Light call volume on weekdays, slightly higher on weekends
- EPIC EMR
- Independent practice with weekday APP support
Schedule
- Monday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM, full-week block
- One 7-day block per month required
- 24-hour call with 30-minute response time
- Significant time off between shifts
Cases and Procedures
- Bread and butter Urology; consults, cystos, emergent surgeries
- Minimal peds, mostly testicular torsion
- Must cover anything APPs cannot
Requirements
- Board Certified or Eligible (within 5 years) in Urology
- Active Pennsylvania license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Travel Accommodations
- Roundtrip airfare or mileage, lodging, and rental car provided
- Malpractice with tail coverage included
