Job description
A well-established healthcare system in western Georgia is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine Physician to join its Urgent Care team providing high-quality, fast-paced outpatient care across multiple community locations.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time urgent care role averaging ~40 hours/week
- Rotating schedule: 3 weekdays one week, 2 weekdays + 2 weekend days the next
- Weekend coverage every other weekend
- Clinic hours:
- Weekdays: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM (or until last patient is seen)
- Weekends: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (or until last patient is seen)
- Multiple urgent care locations across the regional network
- Supportive clinical staff with strong administrative and management support
- Fast-paced outpatient setting with broad patient mix and acuity
- Epic EMR systemwide for integrated documentation and care coordination
- Opportunity to grow into a Medical Director role
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Requires 3–5 years' experience
- Eligible for Georgia medical licensure
- DOT certification preferred
- Comfortable managing a wide range of urgent care presentations
- Strong team-based, patient-focused approach
