Position Overview

Practice urgent care in Maui, Hawaii — one of the most desirable locum tenens destinations in the United States.

One of our Partners is seeking two Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physicians to provide full-time urgent care coverage in Wailuku on the island of Maui, offering physicians the rare opportunity to combine meaningful clinical work with six months of island living in one of the most scenic practice environments in the country.

Located just minutes from Kahului Airport and Maui’s world-renowned beaches, this assignment allows physicians to enjoy ocean activities, hiking, and island culture while working predictable clinic hours with no overnight shifts and no call responsibilities.

The clinic operates similarly to a mini emergency department, managing a wide variety of acute conditions while maintaining structured outpatient clinic hours. Physicians work alongside a collaborative team of MDs, PA-Cs, nurses, and clinical support staff in a high-volume urgent care setting treating patients across all age groups.

The clinic typically sees 120–180 patient visits per day across approximately five providers, creating a dynamic but well-supported clinical environment.

Providers will work a mix of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts and must attend the mandatory orientation beginning April 20, 2026.

Provider Pay: $235/hour (all scheduled shifts)
Housing & Vehicle Stipend: $4,000 per month (separate from hourly compensation)
