Urgent Care Physician in Minnesota
Duluth & Virginia Minnesota
A healthcare system in Duluth, Minnesota is seeking a casual Urgent Care physician to provide coverage across multiple urgent care locations. This role is ideal for a flexible, team-oriented physician who enjoys a dynamic clinical environment and working collaboratively with experienced clinical teams.
Position Highlights
• Casual position with flexible scheduling
• Shifts available in 12-hour, 8-hour, and 4-hour blocks
• Schedule set 3–6 months in advance
• Urgent care hours:
* Weekdays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
* Weekends: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Patient volume ranges from approximately 35 to 70 patients per day
• Strong support from specialists and ancillary services
• Collegial and experienced clinical staff
Clinical Scope
• Acute walk-in care for adult and pediatric patients
• Respiratory illnesses and general acute conditions
• Minor injuries including laceration repair, incision and drainage (I&D), and foreign body removal
• Musculoskeletal injuries requiring imaging and splinting
• Non-life-threatening trauma
• Work-related injury care
Desired Skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable performing suturing and splinting procedures
• Interest in leadership and team-based care is a plus
Candidate Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Current BLS certification
