Job Responsibilities

This Urgent Care position involves seeing 3–4 patients per hour and providing care for patients of all ages, so candidates must be comfortable and experienced with both pediatric and adult populations. The role focuses entirely on urgent care—no emergency department procedures or primary care visits—with providers managing a range of acute diagnoses and performing procedures such as laceration repair and foreign body removal. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting EKGs and X-rays, with teleradiology support available for backup reads within the hour. Experience in an urgent care setting is required, and providers with Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine backgrounds are welcome to apply. Above all, the clinic prioritizes high-quality, patient-centered care; physicians are expected to spend meaningful time with each patient, ensuring exceptional service, while operational management of the clinic is handled by dedicated staff.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will be board certified or board eligible (BE/BC) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, with a minimum of one year of urgent care or equivalent clinical experience. Applicants must hold an active Texas medical license, DEA, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Working Hours

Enjoy a flexible schedule with a minimum commitment of just two shifts per month.

Hours: 9a-9p
Days: Open 7 days a week

Skills

Strong candidates are confident in managing patients of all ages—from pediatrics to geriatrics—and skilled in performing urgent care procedures such as laceration repair and foreign body removal. Proficiency in interpreting EKGs, assisting with X-ray reviews, and navigating EMR systems (preferably Experity) is essential. Providers should thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain a strong focus on quality, patient-centered care, and demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts across San Antonio-area clinics.
