Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician to join our team at our urgent care centers in the Philadelphia and Montgomery County area. This role involves providing high-quality medical care in a fast-paced environment to patients of ALL AGES, with a focus on patient satisfaction and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and committed to professional development.
Note: The physician must be comfortable traveling to and working at 3 or more sites during their shift as needed to support clinic coverage and patient care continuity.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise Advanced Practitioners (e.g., Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) under your license.
See an average of 4 patients per hour while maintaining excellent care standards.
Complete and close patient notes within 72 hours of each visit.
Float between our Philadelphia/Montgomery County area locations as required to meet staffing needs.
Travel to 3 or more urgent care sites during a shift as required to ensure optimal coverage and patient access.
Qualifications
Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related field.
Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration.
Willingness to obtain DOT (Department of Transportation) certification within 6 months if not already certified.
Willingness to obtain USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) immigration physical certification within 6 months if eligible.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Comfortable traveling between multiple clinic locations (3+ sites per shift) as needed.
Working Hours
Weekdays: 8 AM to 8 PM
Weekends: 8 AM to 5 PM
Skills
Medical Knowledge: Diagnose/treat acute and chronic conditions, interpret labs/imaging.
Procedures: Suturing, wound care, splinting, abscess drainage.
Diagnostics: Quick assessment, order/interpret tests (X-rays, EKGs).
Communication: Clear, empathetic patient/family interaction.
Decision-Making: Rapid prioritization, referrals when needed.
Teamwork: Collaborate with staff efficiently.
Time Management: Handle high patient volumes, document accurately.
Life Support: BLS proficiency.
Adaptability: Manage diverse, unpredictable cases.
Cultural Competence: Equitable care across diverse backgrounds.
