Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm — No nights, weekends, or call
Position Overview:
A well-established national healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Physician Center Medical Director for our clinic in Phoenix, AZ. This is a unique opportunity to lead a collaborative clinical team while maintaining hands-on patient care. The role is ideal for a physician who enjoys blending clinical work with operational leadership — all within a weekday-only schedule.

Base Salary: $230K–$255K (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Responsibilities
- Lead the clinic’s medical team and oversee clinical quality
- Manage APCs and ensure compliance with supervisory requirements
- Collaborate with therapy, operations, and business teams
- Help drive key performance metrics and continuous improvement
- Maintain and grow relationships with clients and payers
Qualifications
- MD or DO with an active and unrestricted Colorado medical license
- Unrestricted DEA license and applicable dispensing license
- Board Certification or Eligibility (ABMS or AOA recognized specialty preferred)
- FMCSA NRCME certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Must be Medicare eligible
Preferred:
- Prior leadership or management experience in a clinical setting (e.g., Medical Director, Site Lead, or supervising physicians/APCs)
- Experience working in an outpatient, urgent care, or occupational health environment
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation cases, DOT physicals, and return-to-work exams
- Strong understanding of quality improvement metrics and performance-based care
- Ability to mentor and supervise APCs (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants)
