Job description Urgent Care Physician – Northern Philadelphia Location: Northern Philadelphia, PA Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Setting: Privately Owned Urgent Care Clinic Overview A privately owned urgent care center in Northern Philadelphia is seeking a board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and values autonomy in clinical practice. Physicians must be comfortable seeing all ages and performing standard urgent care procedures. Clinical Role & Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for all ages, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries Perform typical urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and minor orthopedic interventions Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and x-rays (with on-site x-ray tech) Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR (Experity) Work collaboratively with on-site medical assistants and support staff Solo coverage model: manage patient flow and clinical decision-making independently See approximately 3–4 patients per hour Clinic hours:
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday/Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain) Comfortable treating pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Proficient in urgent care procedures and minor office-based interventions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently in a solo provider setting Experience with EMRs; familiarity with Experity is a plus Support & Benefits Medical assistant and x-ray tech on site during all operating hours Privately owned, physician-friendly work environment Generous referral fees available – ask about our program!
