Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP; physician assistant or nurse practitioner) to join the McKay-Dee Critical Care team based at McKay-Dee Hospital.This APP can expect to work independently and in close collaboration with physicians to provide extraordinary patient care. Based in our Intensive Care Unit, the APP may see a wide variety of conditions and treatments typical in general ICU settings, including acute respiratory, medical, and surgical cases.
At full-time, the APP will typically work 10-14 hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. No call time is anticipated.
1-year clinical APP ICU experience required. A Physician Assistant that has completed a critical care fellowship or a Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification is highly preferred.

This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Consultation and Referral Plan (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of that patient care, this position is accountable to: deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others; consultation with other healthcare providers; and maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.
