Urgent Care Staff Physician with the Opportunity for Leadership in Bakersfield, CA

A 1099 model starting at $150/hr., with a $75,000 sign-on bonus for a three-year term. Medical Directorship opportunities are also available in which Physicians have more responsibility and may earn an additional $60,000 annually.

Accelerated Urgent Care has been voted “Best Urgent Care” 7 years in a row in Bakersfield, CA. We are hiring Physicians for Southern and Central CA. We have 18 facilities in five different counties and will grow into LA County come 2024. Physician candidates must be Board-Eligible (if recently graduated) or Board-Certified Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine to practice at our facility locations.

  • Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine - Board Eligible or Board Certified. 
  • New graduates are welcome, and we will train you to be the best provider possible.
  • Urgent Care Medicine practicing twelve-hour (12) shifts with a 1-hour break. 
  • Full-time will be 12 shifts per month, 2 on-call shifts per month, and managing 4 mid-level providers.
  • Treat 4 patients per hour from newborns to geriatrics (full spectrum care) in a low-acuity setting.
  • Patients are treated for colds/coughs/congestion, UTIs, lumps, bumps, and bruises.
  • Bread & Butter Procedures: I&D of Abscesses, Toenail Removal, and Laceration Repair. 
  • Equipment: In-house Point-of-Care testing and X-ray. All X-rays are over-read by a Board-Certified Radiologist with results available within 20 minutes for routine orders.
  • Easy-to-use EMR: VelociDoc with Dragon dictation allows you to document patients in one minute.
