Job Description
A Middletown and Newburgh, New York based client is seeking a Physician either in Emergency Medicine or Family Practice to provide care to patients of all ages in an urgent care setting. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative Physician who values providing equitable care to all populations. This position will involve primarily working in Middleton and Newburgh with occasional coverage in Rock Hill and West Nyack.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
- Current NY state medical license
- Completed an accredited residency program
- Current DEA certificate
- Board certified or eligible in Family Practice, Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages in urgent care
- Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
- Perform therapeutic procedures and educate patients on their treatment plans
- Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
- Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
- Serve as a supervisor for nursing and mid-level provider staff
