A mission-driven, technology-forward healthcare organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed in the state of Rhode Island to join its growing clinical team in a fully remote telehealth role. This organization delivers evidence-informed virtual care programs focused on obesity medicine and holistic wellness, primarily serving Medicaid and Medicare populations.
This is a unique opportunity to practice high-quality virtual medicine from home while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and health coaches. The role offers structured clinical mentorship and strong operational support within a modern telehealth environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct real-time video visits and follow-up appointments for chronic care management, remote monitoring, and urgent clinical needs
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- Provide patient education and counseling to support sustainable lifestyle and health behavior changes
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with DEA and state regulations
- Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
- Adhere to clinical protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Utilize telehealth platforms and AI-driven tools to deliver efficient, high-quality virtual care
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Rhode Island (required; not pending)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP or PA program
- Board Certified NP (ANCC or AANP) or NCCPA Certified PA-C preferred
- Minimum of one year of independent clinical practice experience as an NP or PA
- Telehealth experience and/or obesity medicine experience preferred
- Ability to work from a HIPAA-compliant home workspace with reliable high-speed internet
Schedule & Compensation
- Fully remote telehealth position
- Full-time preferred; part-time may be considered
- Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance and patient demand
- Competitive hourly rate of $57.69 – $60.10 based on experience and qualifications
