An esteemed Hospital in Alma, GA is looking for a best in class Permanent MD for a Surgery - Vascular assignment. Quick Facts: Specialty(s): Surgery - Vascular ; Facility Type: Hospital; Location: Alma, GA. Job Description: PERM - double-boarded in GENERAL AND VASCULAR Surgery - Alma, GA
Vascular fellowship is PREFERRED, but not required.
A good B&B GS with extensive Vascular experience would work as well.
- GROWTH POSITION
- Need due to hospital buying a local podiatry group of 20+ podiatrists and will be building ab outpatient vascular lab as a part of the merger/expansion
- A lot of lower extremity stenting/peripheral stenting volume(for the podiatry group patients)
- Only 0.6 FTE for just vascular surgery, so not enough volume for a full-time vascular surgeon, which is why they are looking for a BC general surgeon(with Vascular fellowship & BC OR GS with vascular experience), so the rest of the volume would be filled with general surgery work
- 25 bed critical access hospital, no trauma.
- 4 operating rooms
- 1 other GS there
- 1:2 GS call, but light
- Will build a brand-new lab to doctor's specs
- Feb-March 2020 projected start date
• Salary: $350 – $400, – 40-50% MGMA of peripheral VASCULAR surgery numbers (which are higher than GS numbers)
Sign-on + 10-15 Relocation(based on Hawkins-Merritt ##)
Have State and Federal loan forgiveness programs
they pay for License, NPI, Malpractice ins
Full benefits: We have a lot of different ways to come up with a package for doctors.
20days PTO+5days CME
5 days + 3k CME(may come up with more money if needed, as it's Vascular)
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Board Certified or Board Eligible w/in 5 years of residency - Required
GA license – Required, can be willing to obtain; Requirements: BC/BE: Board Certified,Board Eligible
