Locums – Portsmouth, Virginia, Vascular Surgery Opening

Clinical Role

• Anticipated start date: March 1, 2027
• Coverage needs may include holidays, vacations, weekdays, and weekends
• 100% inpatient Vascular Surgery
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Approximately 5-10 patients per day
• Daily hospital coverage with night and weekend call
• No teaching or leadership responsibilities

Schedule & Call

• Monday-Friday daytime coverage: 8:30 am-4:30 pm
• Weeknight call: 4:30 pm-8:30 am
• Weekend call: Friday at 4:30 pm-Monday at 8:30 am
• Beeper/phone call
• Approximately 3 callback hours

Practice Setting & Procedures

• Hospital-based
• Standard Vascular Surgery procedures
• Dialysis access
• Local procedures
• No trauma designation
• Epic EMR

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board certification in Vascular Surgery required
• Vascular Surgery fellowship required
• Active Virginia license required
• Active DEA required
