We are looking for Vascular Surgeon for locum coverage in Portsmouth, VA
Position Details
📍 Portsmouth & Suffolk, VA
📅 Anticipated Start: March 1, 2027
🏥 Inpatient / Hospital-Based
👨⚕️ Adult & Geriatric Patients — 20% Adult / 80% Geriatric
👥 Average Volume: 5–10 patients/day
💻 Epic EMR
📞 Beeper/Phone Call
⏱️ Average Callback: ~3 hours
Schedule

Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM–4:30 PM daily coverage

Monday–Friday: 4:30 PM–8:30 AM night call

Weekend call: Friday–Monday, 4:30 PM–8:30 AM

24-hour call coverage as needed

Coverage may include holidays, vacations, full weeks, or weekends
Clinical Scope
-
Bread-and-butter vascular surgery
-
Dialysis access
-
Standard inpatient vascular procedures and care
Requirements
✔️ Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
✔️ Fellowship trained
✔️ Active Virginia medical license
✔️ Active DEA
✔️ Must credential at both facilities
✔️ Prior BSMH experience must be disclosed at name clear, including facility, last date worked, and agency
