Locum Physician - Vascular Surgery

Join a dynamic healthcare team in Portsmouth, Virginia, where you will have the opportunity to provide essential vascular surgical care at two reputable facilities: Maryview Medical Center and Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center. This locum position offers diverse responsibilities, targeting both inpatient settings and a broad patient demographic, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality vascular surgical care in an inpatient setting.
• Perform standard procedures, including dialysis access and bread and butter vascular surgeries.
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including night and weekend on-call duties.
• Utilize Epic for electronic medical record documentation.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 5-10 patients per day in the hospital.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery (required)
• Completed fellowship in relevant field (required)
• Active Virginia medical license (required)
• Active DEA certification (required)
• Experience with a patient-centric approach in an inpatient environment.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Vascular Surgery
• Active medical license in Virginia
• DEA Registration
