WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a BC/BE Vascular Surgeon for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Illinois. This assignment supports a busy, well-established vascular surgery program and offers flexible, as-needed coverage in a collaborative practice environment.

This opportunity is designed to supplement an established vascular surgery team, making it an excellent fit for physicians seeking flexible locum coverage. Due to the variable schedule, preference will be given to local providers who can accommodate sporadic coverage needs.
Providers will practice in a busy vascular surgery service within a Level I Trauma Center and must be comfortable managing both routine and complex vascular cases. The ideal candidate is experienced in performing both open vascular and endovascular procedures.
Daily responsibilities include outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, elective procedures, and shared call coverage. Physicians can expect an average daily census of 5–10 patients and approximately six outpatient elective procedures per day.
Call responsibilities include occasional overnight telephone call and periodic 24-hour weekend coverage with a 30-minute response time. Average overnight admissions are minimal.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Vascular Surgery
- Active Illinois Medical License
- Illinois DEA Registration
- Illinois Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
- ACLS Certification
- BLS Certification
- Minimum of one year of post-training experience
- Clean background required
- Comfortable practicing in a Level I Trauma Center
- Experience performing both open and endovascular vascular procedures
Please note: An active Illinois license is required. IMLC candidates cannot be considered for this assignment.
