Job description
We are seeking a Vascular Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Oakland, CA. This is an acute trauma call opportunity at a Level 1 trauma center covering weeknight and weekend beeper call coverage. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Perform open vascular and trauma surgery procedures
Manage complex vascular cases in a Level 1 trauma setting
Participate in 24-hour on-call beeper coverage rotation
Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required; Level 1 experience strongly preferred
Must be comfortable and experienced in vascular and open surgery
Qualifications
California medical license
California DEA registration
ACLS certification
Fluoroscopy certification
Working Hours
Weekend 24-hour beeper call coverage (7a–7a): approximately 2 weekends per month
Weeknight beeper call (5p–7a): approximately 3 weeknights per week
Minimum of 4 shifts per month required
Contract length: 26 weeks
