Join a leading healthcare organization in Lima, Ohio seeking a Vascular Surgeon to provide comprehensive arterial and venous care in a mixed inpatient and outpatient setting. This opportunity offers the ideal blend of clinic-based continuity care, hospital consults, and operative/endovascular procedures while working within a collaborative surgical team.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage peripheral arterial disease, carotid disease, aneurysms, dialysis access needs, venous insufficiency, DVT, and limb ischemia
• Perform open vascular surgeries and minimally invasive endovascular procedures within scope of practice
• Provide inpatient rounding, emergency consults, admissions, discharge planning, and post-operative management
• Conduct outpatient evaluations, surveillance visits, wound care follow-up, and long-term vascular management
• Interpret vascular imaging studies including duplex ultrasound, CTA, MRA, and angiography
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based best practices
• Collaborate with cardiology, podiatry, wound care, nephrology, radiology, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and risk-factor modification
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality initiatives and shared call coverage as required by the department
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
• Valid Ohio medical license or eligibility to obtain
• DEA certification if required
• Strong surgical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable managing inpatient and outpatient vascular responsibilities
• No red flags or disciplinary history on license
