Locums - Colorado Springs, Colorado, Vascular Surgery Job (IMLC Accepted)

Join a busy Level II Trauma Center providing vascular surgery call coverage in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. This opportunity is ideal for a board-certified vascular surgeon seeking flexible call assignments with ongoing coverage potential.

Initial Dates: July 3 (7:00 AM) – July 7 (7:00 AM), 2026 Ongoing Coverage: Beginning October 2026 (future dates to be released)

Position Highlights:

• 24-hour call coverage (7a–7a)

• Ongoing need with recurring monthly coverage (10–12 days/month)

• High-acuity trauma setting

• IMLC candidates accepted

• 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

• Includes 4 gratis hours per shift

• Average of 10–12 days per month

• Coverage for surgeon time off

• Setting: Level II Trauma Center

• Patient population: Adult and geriatric

• Hospital size: 250 beds

• Average admissions: 3–4 per day

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing vascular surgery call coverage

• Managing trauma and emergent vascular cases

• Performing open and endovascular procedures

• Rounding, consults, and admissions as needed

Required Procedures:

• Open vascular surgery

• Endovascular interventions

• Independent call coverage (no dedicated support staff listed)

Technology:

• EMR: Epic

EMR Training Requirements:

• Modules must be completed prior to virtual training

• Virtual EMR training required at least one week before start

• Completion of all training required before first-day details are released

• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery

• Active Colorado license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at submission) required

• DEA required for credentialing (transfer accepted but must remain active for assignment)
