Job description Interventional Vascular Medicine Physician Opportunity in Washington Coupeville, Washington Full time A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Interventional Vascular Medicine Physician to provide advanced, minimally invasive care for patients with vascular disease. This role offers a balance of procedural work, clinical care, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a patient-centered environment. Position Overview This physician will diagnose and treat vascular conditions using image-guided, catheter-based techniques while managing both acute and chronic vascular diseases. The role includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care responsibilities, along with collaboration across multiple specialties. Key Responsibilities Interventional Procedures • Perform minimally invasive vascular procedures including angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy, and thrombolysis • Treat arterial and venous conditions such as peripheral artery disease, carotid artery disease, and venous insufficiency • Utilize advanced imaging guidance for precision-based interventions Diagnostics & Imaging • Interpret vascular imaging including ultrasound, duplex studies, CT angiography, and other diagnostic tests • Assess blood flow and identify vascular abnormalities to guide treatment decisions Patient Care & Management • Conduct inpatient rounds and outpatient clinic visits • Provide longitudinal care for chronic vascular conditions • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes Emergency Care • Manage acute vascular emergencies including stroke, pulmonary embolism, arterial thrombosis, and vascular trauma • Provide rapid intervention in time-sensitive clinical situations Collaboration • Work closely with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, and other specialists • Participate in multidisciplinary care planning to determine optimal treatment strategies Patient Education • Counsel patients on risk factor modification including smoking cessation, diabetes management, and hypertension control • Provide education on disease prevention and long-term vascular health Qualifications Education & Training • MD or DO from an accredited medical school • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program • Fellowship training in endovascular medicine, interventional radiology, or related specialty Board Certification • Board Certified in Internal Medicine • Board Certified in Vascular Medicine or Interventional Radiology Experience • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in interventional vascular medicine • Strong diagnostic and procedural skills • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity Licensure & Certifications • Active, unrestricted Washington State medical license • DEA license required • Current BLS and ACLS certifications Compensation & Benefits • Salary range: $500,000 – $700,000 annually • Comprehensive benefits package for physicians working 0.6 FTE or greater • Opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative healthcare system This opportunity is ideal for a physician seeking a high-impact role combining advanced procedural work with comprehensive vascular care, supported by a multidisciplinary team and modern clinical resources.
