Locum - Surgery: Vascular - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum Vascular Surgeon in Youngstown, OH

Facility and Practice Overview:
Join a dedicated team at a prominent healthcare facility known for delivering high-quality surgical services. This facility offers a Level 1 trauma designation with a robust emergency room handling an annual volume of 250,000 cases. As a locum vascular surgeon, you will have access to a full complement of ancillary staff and work in well-equipped operating rooms. The practice setting is within a hospital framework, providing an enriching environment for patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of vascular surgery procedures including aneurysm repairs, thoracic, abdominal, and peripheral surgeries.
• Execute endovascular procedures such as carotid artery stenting and aortofemoral bypass.
• Manage patients requiring vascular access devices and AV shunts.
• Treat conditions such as lymphedema and peripheral artery disease.
• Participate in a night call schedule with a 50% call ratio.
• Document patient interactions and procedures using the Epic EMR system.
• Provide care to adult and geriatric patients in need of vascular intervention.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery (FACS) - REQUIRED
• Active Ohio medical license (no exceptions) - REQUIRED
• Current DEA registration - REQUIRED
• BLS and ACLS certifications - REQUIRED
• Availability for the specified coverage dates - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Vascular Surgery (FACS)
• Active Ohio Medical License
• DEA Registration
• BLS and ACLS Certifications
