Position overview

Establish and lead a community-based vascular surgery program in collaboration with a major academic medical center.

Provide advanced vascular surgical care, including treatment of aneurysmal disease, carotid artery disease, peripheral vascular disease and limb salvage, and hemodialysis access.

Perform both open and endovascular procedures, as well as non-surgical management with medical therapy, lifestyle modification, and other interventions.
Schedule and clinical responsibilities

Maintain a weekly schedule of 2 clinic days and 3 procedural/surgical days.

Take approximately 10 night/weekend call shifts per month (excluding daytime coverage), with support from a PRN vascular surgeon, a vascular surgery APP, and an academic vascular surgeon (phone support).

Supervise advanced practice providers involved in vascular care and work in a multidisciplinary environment with cardiology, interventional radiology, and other specialties.
Program development and teaching

Contribute to program growth, including recruitment of an additional vascular surgeon and APP and transition to a hybrid operating room by 2027.

Deliver patient-centered care in a high-quality, community-focused setting, with an emphasis on communication with referring physicians.

Serve as a preceptor and provide training to medical students, residents, fellows, nursing staff, and allied health professionals, with opportunity for program leadership based on experience and interest.
Academic appointment and clinical setting

Clinical faculty appointment (Assistant or Associate Professor) with a major university; role is 100% clinical at a community site.

Access to a full complement of cardiac and vascular diagnostics and rehabilitation services, including stress testing, echocardiography, vascular testing, cardiac catheterization, and cardiac rehabilitation.
Compensation and benefits

Base salary:

$500,000 for 0"3 years of experience

$550,000 for 4"6 years of experience

$600,000 for 7 or more years of experience

Group goals focused on quality, operations, and productivity, with potential annual bonus up to $75,000 based on established scorecard metrics.

One-time signing bonus of $50,000 and relocation stipend up to $15,000.
Time off, CME, and retirement

176 hours of vacation per year with a 240-hour carryover limit.

120 hours of sick time annually and 11 paid holidays (8-hour days).

$7,500 annual CME allowance.
