Job description
Position Title: Locum Vascular Surgeon – Call-Only (7-14 days/month)
Location: Kentucky
Duration: Ongoing/Call Coverage Model (7-14 days per month)
Start Date: ASAP
Specialty: Vascular Surgery (MD/DO)
Schedule: Call-only coverage — primarily inpatient/OR, 24-hour call blocks as scheduled, 7–14 days per month
Facility Setting: full OR suite with vascular & endovascular capability; onsite support from vascular team, ICU, and experienced surgical staff.

Job Responsibilities
Provide on-call coverage for vascular surgery patients including emergencies (e.g., aortic/arterial trauma, peripheral vascular ischemia, aneurysm repairs)
Admit, consult, triage, and manage vascular cases from call onset through handoff
Coordinate with existing vascular team for continuity of care and smooth transitions
Document thoroughly in EPIC, attend to post-op care as appropriate, and support hospital on-call protocols
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
Active Kentucky medical license or IMLC
Prior experience with call coverage and emergent vascular/ endovascular procedures
Excellent communication skills, ability to integrate quickly into the team and handle independent call coverage
