Job description
A Vascular Surgeon is needed to provide locum coverage on-site for hospital-based vascular services. This role includes both daytime practice and night call coverage. The provider will handle a mix of open and endovascular procedures with access to full ancillary support and Epic EMR. Coverage is required to support patient care during PTO periods.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct endovascular interventions such as carotid artery stenting, bypass surgeries, aortofemoral bypass, stenting, and reconstructions for deep vein occlusions.
Manage vascular conditions including peripheral artery disease, limb gangrene, and lymphedema.
Participate in call coverage (night and weekend) as scheduled.
Provide high-quality, timely surgical care in a Level 1 trauma hospital setting.
Document all patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
Qualifications
Active Ohio medical license – Required
DEA registration – Required
BLS/ACLS certification – Required
Must be available for listed coverage dates – Required
Working Hours
Night call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Weekend coverage required
Skills
Strong diagnostic and procedural skills in treating complex vascular conditions
Ability to manage high-volume hospital caseloads (average 10 cases/day)
Experience with Epic EMR
