Acute Care Trauma Surgeon - F34820

The Department of Surgery at VCU Health is seeking a qualified faculty member to join the Division of Acute Care Surgical Services (Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care) at VCU Medical Center and affiliated campuses. VCU is 700 bed Level 1 Trauma Center.

Qualifications: Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery. Fellowship in Trauma/Critical Care , as well as commitment to laboratory and/or clinical research is required. Responsibilities also include teaching residents and medical students. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU is required. This position is a non-tenure eligible position on the collateral track. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Expectation to round at Level 1 Trauma Center, Emergency General Surgery Service in addition to Community Trauma and EGS care.
