Job Description

Portsmouth is a New Hampshire port city on the Piscataqua River. Notable 17th- and 18th-century houses include several within Strawbery Banke Museum, where costumed staff demonstrate traditional crafts. Nearby, the 1855 North Church presides over downtown’s Market Square. Prescott Park has riverside gardens and boat docks. Northwest, former research submarine USS Albacore is in a park, alongside a visitor center.

Details:

  • Locum position
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Respond to all trauma codes, emergency general surgery, and round in the ICU
  • Trauma admission rate is mainly blunt with 3% penetrating
  • Call required
  • EMR: Meditech

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
  • Valid New Hampshire medical license
  • ATLS and PALS certification
  • DEA license
  • At least two years of recent trauma or acute care surgery experience required
