- Coverage Needed
- 1 - 2 weeks per month
- 12 or 24 hour shifts
- January 2020 - April 2020
- Coverage will include:
- In house Trauma Call
- Back Up Surgery Call
- General Surgery Call
- Back up call on days will require ICU coverage most likely, and then call from hotel when rounding is complete
- Trauma call response:
- 15 minutes for primary surgeon
- 30 minutes for back up surgeon
- Clinical Details
- Must be dual boarded in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
- Daily Patient Volume: 15
- Level II Adult Trauma Center
- EMR: Meditech
- Will cover trauma and acute care trauma surgery
- Requirements
- Must be dual boarded in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
- ATLS up to date
- Recent trauma experience at Level II or I trauma center
- Surgical logs for the past 12 months to document competency for trauma and general surgery cases
- Active Georgia license
- Participate in the monthly PIPS and peer review meetings either in person if staffing or via WebEx 50% of the time while covering call
- Must have in state DEA for privileges, be willing to transfer DEA for assignment, or willing to obtain a new one
