A facility in Georgia has a trauma surgery locum tenens opening for a full-time assignment starting in May. The schedule is seven 12-hour days and 2-3 of those days can be 24-hours (the 12 hours during the day and 12 hours in-house call). Call is primary & back up (in-house) call. Primary and backup are for both trauma and emergency general surgery. The back-up is required to be in-house and covers the SICU at night with scheduled evening rounding. Candidates must be board certified in general surgery, surgical critical care with trauma and surgical critical care fellowship and prior military experience or experience at high volume/high operative trauma center.
