Job description We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join a dynamic Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team as a full-time Nocturnist in in Loveland, Colorado. This role is vital for providing advanced overnight surgical care within one of the region’s leading medical centers.

Schedule: 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).

Location: Loveland, CO.

Patient Volume: High-acuity trauma admissions and inpatient management.

Charting: Epic EMR.

  • Salary: $136,822 – $179,379 (DOE) + up to $10,000 annual QVIP incentive.

  • Relocation: Up to $10,000 for eligible candidates.

  • CME: $3,500 annual allowance + 5 dedicated days.

  • Retirement: 403(b) with matching and optional 457(b).

  • Additional: PSLF eligibility, tuition assistance, and comprehensive medical/dental/vision.


Job Responsibilities

-Provide full-spectrum trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts.
-Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care.
-Perform evaluations, develop comprehensive care plans, and interpret diagnostic tests.
-Assist trauma surgeons with bedside procedures, resuscitation, and operative support.
-Practice with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
-Support quality, safety, and performance metrics for the Trauma Surgery service.

Qualifications

-Education: Graduate of an accredited PA program with a Master’s degree.
-Experience: Minimum of 2 years of trauma surgery experience OR completion of a surgical fellowship is highly preferred. (No new graduates).
-Board Certification: Active NCCPA Certification is strictly required.
-Licensure: Unrestricted Colorado Physician Assistant license and DEA registration.
-Certifications: Must hold BLS (AHA or American Red Cross).
-Compliance: No sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA; clean malpractice history preferred.

Working Hours

-Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights).
-Notes: This is a permanent nocturnist position; no locums or locum-to-perm.

-Expertise in Epic EMR documentation and clinical workflows.
