Overview:
* Seeking a Trauma / Acute Care Surgeon to join a growing six-member Acute Care Surgery section at a Level I Trauma Center in Burlington, MA.
* 396-bed tertiary-care hospital managing approximately 1,800 trauma activations annually.
* Run one of two busy daytime ACS services with a daily census of 20–25 patients.
* Night and weekend in-house call coverage including: Emergency general surgery, Trauma and surgical rescue, Emergency colorectal and bariatric surgery, SICU coverage, Difficult airway response team and Central venous access team
* Active participation in quality improvement and administrative initiatives.
* Teaching responsibilities with surgical residents and medical students.
* Academic affiliation with a major medical school.
* Opportunity to maintain an active trauma/ACS-related research focus.
* Potential evolution of role to include elective general surgery practice.
* No current daytime weekly SICU staffing requirement (future opportunity possible).

Position Offers:
* Base salary range: $375,000–$450,000.

Requirements:
* Completion of General Surgery residency.
* Completion of Surgical Critical Care fellowship.
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
* Eligible for Massachusetts medical license.
* Eligible for academic appointment.
* Active participation in trauma/ACS-related clinical research.
* Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
