Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon Opportunity - Erie, PA
We are seeking a trauma/acute care surgeon with an interest in trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care at our Level II, 423-bed regional hub hospital in Northwest Pennsylvania.
This opportunity allows you to live in a beautiful, four-season, affordable city on the water, in a family-friendly community with short commutes to the hospital from many surrounding neighborhoods. Erie is situated less than two hours from Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Buffalo, with Toronto less than four hours away.
Position Details
- Completed training in general surgery and surgical critical care or surgical critical care/acute care surgery
- American Board Eligible/American Board Certified in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
- Superior clinical skills
- Strong commitment to academic surgery and surgical education
- Accredited Level II Trauma Center (only trauma center within a 90-mile radius)
- Multidisciplinary trauma team, including trauma surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, interventional radiologists, and cardiovascular surgeons
- Annual trauma patient volume: 2,000+
- 24/7 advanced practice provider support
- Trauma bays featuring leading-edge diagnostic and testing equipment
