A 288-bed facility is seeking a general surgeon for locum tenens call coverage.
The facility is located in San Francisco, CA.
The schedule is 24-hour call with callback. Shifts could be approximately 6 to 9 days of 24-hour coverage per month (given how many days the locums covered in the past). All ER call and post-op rounding. The facility would like MDs to see their own follow-ups in the office or cover each other. Duties include all ED and floor general surgical consultations + OR when necessary and post-op rounding. General surgery only laparoscopic training is preferred. No fellowship training is needed. The facility requires the COVID vaccine. The EMR used is Cerner. The credentialing timeframe is ASAP but we can get temporary privileges if needed.
