VISTA's Permanent Placement Division is representing a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system seeking a multi-organ Transplant Director. Highlights of this full-time position include:
Opportunity Highlights:
* Serve as director of the transplant division
* Collaborate with the New Mexico Donor Services (local OPO) for organ procurements
* Grow an established multi-organ transplant program
* 35-55 transplants per year currently with opportunities to pursue non-transplant surgical cases (cancer resections, HPB, general surgery, etc.) per individual interests
* 1-2 weeks/weekends of transplant call per month
* Onsite lab, radiology with imaging, clinical pharmacists, behaviorists, care managers, case managers, medical assistants and registered nurses
* System-wide EMR: EPIC
* PRMC emphasizes the "Patient Centered Medical Home" which is an innovative model of healthcare that emphasizes teamwork, coordination, and technology
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in transplant surgery post-fellowship including living donor nephrectomies and kidney transplantation; pancreas
experience strongly preferred
* Completion of a 2-year ASTS accredited abdominal transplant surgery fellowship
* Nationally competitive salary
