Title: Abdominal Organ Recovery Surgeon
Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Accepting relocation candidates)
Type: Full-Time
Travel: Up to 50% (within Oklahoma and occasionally out-of-state)
Schedule: Variable — includes on-call coverage at least 20 days/month
Role Summary
You’ll perform surgical recovery of donor organs for transplantation and research, ensuring optimal organ quality and regulatory compliance. This is a highly specialized, mission-driven surgical role that directly impacts patient survival through organ donation.

Job Responsibilities
Perform organ recovery surgeries for transplant and research.
Lead the operative team, coordinating surgical and logistical activities.
Collaborate with donor hospital staff and transplant teams.
Train and mentor organ recovery and surgical coordinators.
Ensure compliance with CMS, UNOS, and AOPO standards.
Maintain relationships with transplant center personnel and medical partners.
Qualifications
⦁ Education: M.D. or D.O., board-certified in General Surgery.
⦁ Experience: At least 3 years in organ recovery, transplantation, or donor management.
⦁ Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for an Oklahoma medical license.
