Cardiothoracic Surgery; Cardiac Surgeon - F59330

The Department of Surgery at VCU Health is actively recruiting for two full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeons for the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at VCU Medical Center and affiliated campuses. VCU Medical Center, a 700 bed quaternary teaching hospital is one of the largest and busiest academic centers in Virginia.

We are seeking an academically focused surgeons with excellent training in adult acquired cardiac and thoracic disorders to join a well-established practice. The division performs all aspects of adult cardiothoracic surgery. Expertise in minimally invasive techniques will be ideal.

The division’s goal is to be a national leader in developing advances in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and training the next generation of surgeons in our ACGME-approved 3 year cardiothoracic surgery training program. The cardiothoracic surgery service is well supported by CT surgery fellows, general
surgery residents and advanced practice providers.

Richmond and surrounding towns in Central Virginia include a population of 1.5 million and is the seat of the government of State of Virginia. It has a growing economy and excellent public schools to go with mild winters and easy access to many exciting destinations including Washington DC, Virginia Beach, Outer
Banks- NC and Shenandoah National Park.
