The Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, and the East Carolina Heart Institute, seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join the department as Division Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery, at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor level. A fixed term or tenure track position is available.

The clinical sections represented in the Cardiovascular Diseases Department are: Structural Heart Disease, Electrophysiology & Arrhythmias, Heart Failure, Primary and Secondary Prevention, and Vascular Diseases. The team currently consists of 30 MD and PhD faculty members, 16 Fellows, 2 Residents and 8 Physician Extenders and Cardiovascular Sciences Technicians.

East Carolina Heart Institute
The East Carolina Heart Institute at Vidant Medical Center is eastern North Carolina’s preferred facility for cardiovascular services. The six-story, 375,000-square-foot tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room. It features 128 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.
