### Locums | Cardiothoracic Surgery | Lansing, MI (Active MI License Required) ### Why This Role

  • Minimum commitment of two weeks per month
  • Adult cardiac and general thoracic surgery
  • Two dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms
  • Travel and lodging covered
  • Epic EMR ###
Assignment Details Location: Lansing, Michigan Start Date: As soon as credentialed Minimum Commitment: Two or more weeks per month Weekday Schedule: Monday–Friday clinical coverage; specific daytime hours not provided Call: Weeknight and weekend call Call Hours: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM for applicable 24-hour coverage Setting: Hospital-based Patient Population: Adults Weekend Volume: Approximately one surgical case per weekend Credentialing: Approximately 90–120 days EMR: Epic ### Requirements Board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Active Michigan medical license at name clear Michigan license must be obtained through the full application process; IMLC is not accepted Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Ability to practice independently Complete availability provided at name clear NPDB Self-Query report completed within 30 days of presentation Clean malpractice and licensure history highly preferred ### Required Procedures Adult cardiac surgery General thoracic surgery Coronary artery bypass grafting Heart-valve repair and replacement Tube thoracostomy Pericardial window Thoracotomy Lung biopsy and resection Pneumonectomy Thoracotomy with decortication Mediastinal surgery ### Clinical Details Level I trauma setting Two dedicated cardiovascular surgery operating rooms during daytime hours Independent cardiac and thoracic surgical coverage Flight, hotel, and ground transportation or mileage covered
