Med Ninjas is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an urgent locum tenens opportunity at CHI Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.

Urgent Coverage: September 5, 2026 at 7:00 AM through September 14, 2026 at 7:00 AM
Additional Coverage: Ongoing coverage may be available
Practice Setting: Inpatient and clinic

Schedule

• Saturday and Sunday: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Monday through Friday: Daytime coverage, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekday night call: 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 24/7 call coverage required during assigned dates

Responsibilities

• Round on cardiovascular surgery inpatients
• Provide clinic coverage during the regular surgeon’s absence
• Remain available for emergent procedures
• Perform required procedures at the facility
• Provide CABG and thoracic surgery coverage
• Vascular surgery experience is beneficial but not required

Practice Details

• Average cardiovascular surgery inpatient census: 4 to 6 patients
• Average clinic volume: 10 to 12 patients per day
• Approximately 1 to 2 CABG cases per week
• Approximately 5 to 7 additional surgical cases
• Support staff includes PA, NP, MA, and office supervisor
• EMR: Meditech
• Non-teaching facility

Requirements

• Active Ohio medical license
• Board Certified highly preferred
• Board Eligible required at minimum
• Active ACLS certification
• Must be available for the requested coverage dates
• Clean malpractice history highly preferred
