Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Arizona | 24-Hour Call | Beginning ASAP – Ongoing | Assignment #114295

Coverage Details for Assignment #114295:
-- Beginning April 1, 2026– Ongoing
-- Up to Fulltime starting ASAP
-- 24-hour call coverage
-- Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days

Shift Description:
-- 24-hour call - there may be light clinic coverage depending on the hospital's final need

Requirements:
-- Cardiothoracic surgery fellowship training
-- Specific availability
-- Case logs
-- Clean malpractice/background history, or full explanation
-- Active Arizona license or active IMLC
-- ACLS
-- BLS
-- DEA
-- Clean malpractice/background history

Required Procedures / Skills:
-- CABG (on and off pump)
-- Valve surgery (AVR, MVR, TAVR)
-- ECMO
-- Emergent post-PCI cases
-- Type A aortic dissections
-- Chest exploration, re-entry, and postoperative bleeding management

Assignment Details:
-- Facility trauma level: Level I
-- Beds: 400+ total beds
-- CVORs: Two dedicated CVORs
-- CVICU: 20 beds
-- High-volume, high-acuity cardiac surgery service
-- Duties include comprehensive perioperative management, OR coverage, consults, daily rounding, and on-call responsibilities
-- Urgent and emergent cardiac surgery coverage required
-- Interdisciplinary collaboration with ICU, cardiology, interventional cardiology, anesthesia, APPs, perfusionists, and OR staff
-- APP support with NP and first assist coverage
-- Multidisciplinary trauma and cardiovascular environment
-- Types of cases: Heart and vascular, neurology, oncology, orthopedic surgery, women’s health, trauma
-- EMR: Cerner with Ingenious Med (iMed)
