A Pennsylvania healthcare system is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum assignment covering clinic, procedures, and call responsibilities. The provider will support urgent cardiac surgery cases, participate in structural heart clinic, and provide inpatient rounding.
This opportunity offers scheduled clinic weeks with additional night call and 24-hour call coverage, supported by onsite APP staff.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide cardiothoracic surgery clinic coverage
- Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Manage urgent inpatient cardiac surgery cases
- Participate in structural heart clinic
- Provide hospital rounding
- Take night call and 24-hour call coverage
- Collaborate with APP and surgical team
- Document encounters using Epic EMR
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain
- DEA required
- Minimum 1 year cardiothoracic surgery experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred

Clinic Hours:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Clinic Coverage:
- May 11–15
- June 8–12
- June 22–26
Night Call:
3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- May 11, 13, 15
- June 8, 11
- June 22, 24, 26
24 Hour Call:
7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- May 16–17
- June 27–28
Coverage Needed: 1–2 weeks per month
