Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum opportunity providing inpatient surgical coverage with a balanced weekday schedule and rotating call responsibilities.
Position Details:
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call: 1:2 weeknight call and every other weekend (includes rounding)
• Setting: Inpatient
• Minimum Commitment: 2 weeks per month
Call Structure:
Weekend call coverage rotates between providers. The physician covering the weekend will also cover Wednesday/Thursday call the following week, while the alternate provider handles Monday/Tuesday and Friday–Sunday.
Case Mix Includes:
• CABG procedures
• Aortic and Mitral valve replacement/repairs
• Ascending aortic root procedures
• TAVR procedures
• Routine lung and lobectomy cases
• Mediastinoscopy
Requirements:
• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• ACLS & BLS (American Heart Association, in-person)
• Active state license preferred
• Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required
Additional Information:
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 60–90 days for clean files
