A healthcare facility in Erie, Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide inpatient surgical coverage.
The physician will perform a wide range of cardiothoracic procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, thoracic surgical procedures, and complex cardiac operations. Providers will also participate in a call rotation and provide inpatient rounding and patient management.
This opportunity is ideal for surgeons with strong cardiothoracic experience who are comfortable managing both cardiac and thoracic surgical cases in a hospital environment.

Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate patients preoperatively and develop surgical treatment plans
• Provide postoperative patient management and inpatient rounding
• Participate in on-call coverage for surgical consultations and urgent procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams including anesthesiology and critical care
• Document patient care and surgical procedures using EMR systems
Qualifications
• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License strongly preferred
• Experience performing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures
• Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required
• ACLS Certification required
• BLS Certification required
Working Hours
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call Schedule:
• Weeknight call rotation
• Every other weekend call with rounding
Minimum Commitment: Two weeks per month

• Aortic root and ascending aortic procedures
