A hospital in Erie, PA is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment. This is a great opportunity for surgeons looking for consistent coverage with a balanced schedule.
Schedule
• Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Every other weekend call with rounding
• Estimated 1:2 weeknight call rotation
Minimum Availability
• 2 weeks per month
Job Responsibilities
• The provider covering the weekend will take Wednesday and Thursday call the following week
• Opposite provider covers Monday, Tuesday, and Friday–Sunday
• Call responsibilities rotate weekly
Practice Setting
• Inpatient
Case Mix
• CABG procedures
• Aortic & Mitral valve replacements/repairs
• Ascending aortic root procedures
• TAVR
• Routine lung and lobectomy procedures
• Mediastinoscopy
• Robotic experience preferred but not required
EMR
• EPIC
Qualifications
• Approximately 60–90 days for clean files
Requirements
• Board Certified – Cardiothoracic Surgery
• ACLS & BLS (American Heart Association – in-person)
• Pennsylvania medical license strongly preferred
